| Applications are closed for thse programmes. Congratulations to Emmeline Taptiklis who is going to RCM/SELF for a very long time... In 2001 it has been decided to combine our representation at the regular Regional Committee Meeting with the new School for Ecumenical Leadership Formation. RCM is the highest decision making body in the Asia-Pacific Region of WSCF and makes many important decisions about the direction that the Federation takes in our Region for the next two years. It also elects a Standing Committee to oversee this work, and the Regional Women's Committee who advise the Regional Women's Coordinator. It is hoped that the SCMA delegate to RCM is also the SCMA participant at SELF as this will be cheaper, but SCMA has recently decided that it will cover the extra cost of sending two separate people to the programmes. If you wish to only go to one of these programmes it is now possible to do so. CCANZ have also been invited to send a youth leader for training at SELF. It is vital that SCMA have a representative at RCM, and it is very important for the future of the Ecumenical movement in Aotearoa that the SELF training opportunity is not wasted. As with all WSCF programmes there is no cost to the participant. SCMA and WSCF-AP share the cost of the airfares, and WSCF-AP pays for the programme. The length of the programme is substantially greater than is normally the case, RCM is 10-15 July and SELF is July 15 until August 19. Please read the detailed information below. If you have any questions or are interested in applying, please contact the National Administrator as soon as possible! Nominations need to be with WSCF-AP by March 20. |
