Kong.
We are glad to inform you
that the 15th Regional Committee Meeting of the Asia Pacific region
will be held from 10-15 July(arrival-10, departure-15), 2001 in Chiangmai,
Thailand. The composition of Regional Committee Meeting, the Functions of the
Regional Committee Meeting, and the agenda of Regional Committee Meeting are as
follows :
I.
The composition of Regional Committee Meeting
Accredited representatives of all member movements
Regional representatives of Executive Committee and
Chairperson of WSCF-AP
Regional staff who shall be ex-officio non voting members
II.
The functions of the Regional Committee Meeting
Review and assess the situation of the member movements
of the region
Consider the ideas, problems and aspirations of the
member movements of the region
Determine and review objectives, policies and priorities
for the region;
Devise the ongoing program of the region;
Review the finance of the region
Elect members of the Regional Standing Committee and
Regional Women’s Committee

Each National movements has
to send one representative to this Regional Committee Meeting. Please note that according to the Bye-laws
of the WSCF Asia Pacific region in any four year period at least half of those
delegates sent to regional meetings and program by any national movements shall
be: students and women.
We enclosed the
nomination form, so please fill out the form and send it back to us by March 20, 2001. We also ask the selected delegate to bring a
symbolic material of your movement such as painting or craft for the opening
worship. We also appreciate if the
delegate could bring at least one song translated in both your language and
English.
Later on, the Regional
office will send you another information package on the RCM which includes a
detailed schedule and agenda of the 15th RCM.
